Art Belongs in the Kitchen

When deciding where to hang art we usually don’t think of the kitchen. It’s the least likely place in our homes to display artwork. There are probably a few reasons for this. One is space. Most kitchen walls are filled with essential cabinetry and appliances. Still, some of us enjoy showing off the most beautiful art ever created on the fridge, our kid’s masterpieces, of course!

If you're fortunate enough to have even a little bit of empty wall or shelf space and you’ve got the perfect artwork, be sure to protect it from all that can go awry in the kitchen. Water, grease build-up, flying food, and liquids. It's amazing how far red wine can travel when a mere glass is dropped to the floor. Best to hang that canvas print in another room. Having your art framed and kept under glass or better yet acrylic will ensure you'll be able to enjoy it for years to come. With all the time we're spending in the kitchen, why not bring some much-needed comfort to our hungry souls!
